The Keysight 81635A dual-path optical power sensor is ideal for making accurate power measurements on fiber optic devices. This modular dual-path sensor is suitable for use with a variety of Keysight 816x lightwave mainframes and can be used alone or in groups to measure multi-channel devices in parallel. The output fiber can be easily connected using Keysight's flexible connector adapters or bare fiber adapters.
This module can run a variety of measurement applications, such as data logging, stability testing, recording minimum and maximum values over time. The trigger synchronization capability with the tunable laser source module allows you to perform powerful spectral measurements - with higher resolution and better polarization correlation, enabling cost-effective and time-saving multi-channel expansion. This module can record up to 20,000 samples with an averaging time as short as 100 µs.
A comprehensive sampling and triggering concept (hardware trigger line, filtering, event triggering, hardware timer, analog output) allows easy integration into various control schemes.
The module is suitable for use in all communications bands and accepts standard single-mode and multimode optical fibers with core sizes up to 62.5 µm.
