The Keysight 81490A reference transmitter is optimized to provide excellent eye diagram quality. As a reference configuration, it can perform 10 GbE-LR, -ER, -SR tests according to IEEE 802.3ae, and 100GBASE-LR4, -ER4, -SR4 tests according to IEEE 802.3bs and 10/16 G FC Fibre Channel specifications. By integrating into the Keysight LMS platform, it can perfectly cooperate with the N4917A/B optical receiver limit test solution to perform tests. The wide modulation bandwidth of up to 35 GHz enables it to form an excellent test setup with an electrical waveform generator to provide arbitrary optical modulation signals.
